For almost a year I was known as the "Column Girl." That meant that I became part of clubs and kept a day-to-day account of people and activities I saw throughout my day in The Villages. It started as an experiment, but then we learned our readers really enjoyed seeing it.

Connecting With
Sources
One of my favorite things to do when
working is connecting with my sources.
Here, I was talking with a couple who
submitted some photos they had taken to be judged in a contest. They love that they live in a community where they have the freedom to show off their work and get feedback.

Judging Those Pups...
Around Halloween, a handful of my cohorts and myself were asked to judge a dog Howl-o-Ween costume contest. We decided a golden doodle dressed as a lion was the most creative followed by a chi-weenie dog dressed as a hot dog.
